When it comes to holiday entertainment, Las Vegas is the place to go! Everything on the Las Vegas Strip will be open on Christmas day, including shops, bars, casinos, restaurants, etc. If you’re having trouble constructing your Las Vegas holiday itinerary, here are five events worth adding to your list.
The Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is all set to host its 10th annual holiday ice rink. How, you ask? Each year the Boulevard Pool (which is a whopping 4,200 square feet) is iced over—creating a magical, winter wonderland with an amazing view of the Las Vegas Strip.
From Tuesday, November 16, 2021, through Sunday, January 2, 2022, out-of-towners will have the chance to ice skate atop The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas all day (Monday through Thursday) for just $30 a person. Nevada residents, first responders, and military can skate for $20 with a valid ID.
The Rink welcomes skaters ages two and up; minors must be accompanied by an adult (who is 21 or older) and sign a liability waiver before skating. Advanced ticket purchases and reservations are encouraged. For more information, visit The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas website.

ARIA Resort’s Giant Gingerbread House
ARIA Resort & Casino now has a life-size gingerbread display sitting in its lobby. The masterpiece—which includes a life-size gingerbread man, a donut tower, an enormous and overflowing cup of hot chocolate that’s encased inside of a giant snow globe (made with a sugar panel base), snowflakes, and more—took the resort’s team of pastry chefs 200 working hours to complete from beginning to end.
“We wanted to bring joy and smiles to those visiting us during the holidays,” Mathieu Lavallee, the Executive Pastry Chef for ARIA, said in a statement to the press. “This display is the result of a dedicated team who put their passion and skill behind that vision and made a special spectacle for all guests to enjoy.”
Guests can view ARIA’s holiday display now through January 8, 2022.

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
Each season, the horticulture and engineering teams at the Bellagio morph the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens into a magical showcase filled with inviting lights, scents, sounds, and colors. This year, the holiday display—which is aptly named “Holiday Time”— features a 42-foot-tall fir tree adorned with 7,000 white lights, 2,500 ornaments, and a Swarovski crystal tree topper.
“Our teams work tirelessly to bring to life wonderful experiences throughout the year that keep guests coming back time and time again,” designer Ed Libby said in a press release. “They’ve outdone themselves again with this year’s theme which offers a glimpse of treasured time-honored holiday traditions while creating memorable moments and whimsical vignettes at every turn.”
Guests can view the Conservatory & Botanical Garden’s holiday display now through January 1, 2022.

For the first time ever, the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat will be decorated in thousands of pink twinkle lights. There’ll also be a life-size snow globe and ginormous presents, Christmas trees, and pink candy canes.
In addition to viewing the display, those who are 21 and older can enjoy the Festive Flamingo Bar, which will be serving seasonal beverages including The Spice is Right, Mingo Mocha, Reindeer Kick, and Bad Santa.
