‘Golden’ Alums on Whether They Would — Or Wouldn’t — Go on ‘BiP’

Some alums of The Golden Bachelor and Bachelorette will have the chance to find love again on the new season of Bachelor in Paradise — but do they all want a ticket to the beach?

After Bachelor in Paradise skipped filming for one year, host Jesse Palmer announced during Grant Ellis’ live finale in March that the show would be back and featuring Golden stars in its first-ever crossover. Gerry Turner’s runner-up, Leslie Fhima, and Joan Vassos’ ex, Gary Levingston, were the first two contestants revealed as part of the cast.

“So this is really happening. For the first time ever, Golden men and women will be hitting the beaches of Paradise alongside all of your Bachelor and Bachelorette favorites of seasons past,” Jesse said at the time. “So how is this whole thing going to work? You’re going to have to tune in to find out when an all-new Bachelor in Paradise premieres this summer.”

Scroll down to see which Golden alum have expressed interest — or haven’t — in appearing on the Bachelor in Paradise crossover:

After being eliminated from Joan’s season, Keith exclusively told Us Weekly he would be interested in joining the spinoff series — but pitched a different location for the show.

“I don’t think you want to see a bunch of old men just hanging out,” he quipped to Us in November 2024. “But no, I was thinking of doing it at a resort or something like that. Pool, golf, pickleball, tennis, whatever. But it’d totally be a blast.”

Before the Golden Bachelor in Paradise spinoff was announced, Jonathan weighed in on whether he would appear on the show.

“I thought about that and I think I would probably pass on the Golden Paradise. Other than being on an exotic beach or wherever that might be, I mean, that would be great. But when I started the journey for The Golden Bachelorette, I had one purpose in mind. It was to see if I have found love with one woman, if that was a connection. And I think the Golden Paradise is kind of an extension of like, ‘Well, you didn’t fall in love, so let’s kind of like have a party and hang out and have this big reunion,’” he said on a March episode of the “Almost Famous” podcast, noting that he doesn’t think he would be “as present” there.

Leslie was revealed to be a cast member in March.

Gary Levingston

Ahead of his official casting reveal in March, Gary exclusively told Us that he would be game for a Golden Bachelor in Paradise.

“I like walking on other beaches outside of Southern California with my feet in the sand globally,” he told Us in November 2024. “So after taking off maybe about 30 pounds or so, that would be a lot of fun. That’d be a lot of fun.”

“We want to go,” Kathy said of her and Susan Noles on an April episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast. “We’re putting out the positive vibe that we get invited.”

“We heard the announcement that day and we were both like, ‘They better call,’” Susan said of her and Kathy on an April episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast.

Pascal Ibgui

Pascal claimed that he turned down an opportunity to appear on the Golden Bachelor in Paradise “for a couple of reasons.”

“Number one, I just don’t think it’s a good fit for who I am as a person,” Pascal explained on an April episode of the “I Do Part 2” podcast. “I mean, I just don’t think me being on the beach with a bunch of senior citizen — which I am — I don’t want to criticize anybody because that’s not my personality. But I think when I went on The Bachelorette, I was very specific about who I wanted as the Bachelorette.”

Pascal said having to “pick up girls” is not his “personality.” He added, “I mean, if they were offering me the Golden Bachelor, that will be a different thing, because that’s more who I am as a person than being on the beach with a bunch of guys who could care less about.”

Gerry Turner

Gerry told TMZ in March that he turned down an offer to appear on Golden Bachelor in Paradise. The outlet reported that Gerry’s main reason for saying no was due to the fact he had dated several of The Golden Bachelor women — but he would be open to joining the spinoff show if new women went to the beach.
