Where Is Caesars Palace Located on the Las Vegas Strip?

Who Owns Caesars Palace Las Vegas?

Caesars Palace was built in the 1960s by Stanley Mallin and Jay Sarno to resemble a luxurious Roman palace during the peak of the Roman Empire. Their vision was to have every guest treated like they were a Caesar, hence the name Caesars Palace. The resort officially opened in 1966.

In 1969, Sarno and the other owners were forced to sell by the Federal Organized Crime Force. They sold the resort to Stuart and Clifford Perlman, who own a chain of Lum’s restaurants. While the resort’s name stayed the same, they changed the operating name to Caesars World. The brothers sold their interest in Caesars in 1981 to other investors.

In 2000, Caesars World was purchased by Park Place Entertainment, a subsidiary of Hilton Hotels. The company was renamed Caesars Entertainment in 2003. In 2004, Harrah’s Entertainment offered to buy the company and officially acquired it in 2005.

In 2006, Harrah’s was acquired by a group of private companies, including TPG Capital, Apollo Global Management, and The Blackstone Group. In 2010, Harrah’s changed their name to Caesars Entertainment. In 2017, Vici Properties acquired the property and then leased it back to Caesars Entertainment as a subsidiary spin-off. They are still the current owners.

Fun fact: Caesars Palace does not have an apostrophe because Stnaly and Jay use the plural of Caesar to indicate every guest was a Caesar.

Is There Public Transportation Near Caesars Palace Las Vegas?

There are several different public transportation options near Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, including:

Las Vegas Monorail

The Las Vegas Monorail makes it quick, convenient, and easy to navigate the Las Vegas Strip. The Monorail runs from the MGM Grand Resort area in the south to the SAHARA Resort area in the north, covering 3.9 miles with seven stations. The Monorail offers different ticketing options, including unlimited ride tickets, making it one of the cheapest transportation options.

Guests can board the Monorail at the Flamingo & Caesars Palace Monorail Station, located at 3555 S Las Vegas Blvd (Flamingo Hotel & Casino). To access the station:

Enter the Flamingo Hotel & Casino from Las Vegas Blvd
Walk through the main casino and head toward the hotel lobby, front desk, and parking garage
Continue walking through the promenade and look at the overhead signs that direct you toward the Monorail, valet, and self-parking garage
Take the escalators up to the next level and exit the resort below the Las Vegas Monorail sign to get to the connector walkway
Follow the walkway to the end and take the escalator or elevator up to the station

Downtown Loop

The Downtown Loop is a free shuttle bus service that connects the Vegas Strip with downtown Las Vegas. You can ride the Monorail north from the Flamingo & Caesars Palace Station to the SAHARA Las Vegas Station. Exit the station and walk a short distance to The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower. You can catch the bus in the designated pickup area at the rear of the property, which is also the same area for taxi and rideshare pickup.

Deuce on the Strip

You can catch the Deuce on the Strip in front of Caesars Palace for the south route, or across the street in front of the Flamingo Hotel & Casino for the north route.
