Where Is Harrah’s Located on the Las Vegas Strip?

Harrah’s is just slightly north of the center of the Las Vegas Strip at 3475 Las Vegas Blvd. Its ideal location puts you literally just a few steps away from the Strip. The resort and casino are approximately four miles from the Harry Reid International Airport. Some of the great reasons to stay at Harrah’s when you visit Vegas include:

Who Owns Harrah’s Las Vegas?

Harrah’s originally opened in 1972, but was called the Holiday Inn Center Strip and Holiday Casino. When the popular hotel chain was sold to Bass PLC in 1980, it created a new company called The Promus Companies to take over any brands not sold, including Harrah’s. Promos ended their franchise agreement with Holiday Inn in 1991, and renamed the hotel and casino Harrah’s in 1992. 

In 2010, Harrah’s Entertainment changed their name to Caesars Entertainment. From 2018 through 2021, they invested $340 million in renovations into the resort, including renovating many of the 2,542 guest rooms. 

Fun fact: The original Holiday Riverboat facade used for the Holiday Casino is still under the current Harrah’s Casino Las Vegas exterior entrance.

Is Harrah’s Las Vegas Pet-Friendly?

Harrah’s, along with several other Caesars Entertainment properties, is pet-friendly with their Pet Stay program. The program is currently for dogs only, and allows the following:

• Dogs must weigh 50 pounds or less and be present during check-in
• Guests may have up to two dogs per room
• Dogs are allowed to walk through common areas, and must be on a leash at all times
• Dogs must be in a crate or kennel when they are left unattended in the room
• Crate and kennel rentals are available for rent at many Caesars properties

Does Harrah’s Las Vegas Have Free Parking?

Free self-parking and valet parking are available for Caesars Rewards Platinum, Diamond, and Seven Stars members at Harrah’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. Lower-tiered members and non-members who are staying on property are currently charged $20 per day for self-parking and $40 daily per entry for valet parking. Guests should confirm directly with Harrah’s the current parking fees, as they can change. Locals can part for free for up to three hours with a valid Nevada driver’s license, except during special events and holidays. 

Is There Public Transportation Near Harrah’s Las Vegas?

There are several public transportation options near Harrah’s Las Vegas, including:

• Las Vegas Monorail: Harrah’s & The LINQ Monorail Station are easy to access from the second floor of the resort. You can take the Monorail up and down the Strip, from the MGM Grand Resort at the south end to the SAHARA Resort at the north end. 
• Vegas Loop: The Vegas Loop is complementary transportation at the Las Vegas Convention Center to get around the entire campus. There are also $5 daily ride options to connect with other nearby resorts and casinos. Harrah’s and The LINQ Station are just one stop away from the Las Vegas Convention Center. 
• The Las Vegas Deuce Bus: The Deuce Bus connects the Strip with downtown Las Vegas. You can catch the bus near the Monorail’s SAHARA Las Vegas Station. 
• Downtown Loop: This free shuttle service makes it easy to explore attractions in downtown Las Vegas, including Brewery Row, the Arts District, the Mob Museum, and the Fremont Street Experience, as well as enjoy shopping at the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets. You can catch the free shuttle at THE STRAT by taking the Monorail to the SAHARA Las Vegas Station, and walking a short distance to the hotel and casino. Alternatively, you can take the Deuce Bus to The STRAT Hotel, the Arts District, or the Fremont Street Experience to transfer to the Downtown Loop. 
• RTC Buses: The Regional Transportation Commission operates several buses along the Strip. 

Fun Things To Do at Harrah’s Las Vegas

The moment you walk in the door, there are plenty of fun things to do at Harrah’s Las Vegas. Your first stop will be at the miniature “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign to take a selfie. As you proceed into the resort, on the right side, you will find Essentials, the hotel’s largest gift shop, which also has alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and souvenirs. Just past Essentials in the hotel lobby bar, and on the left side, is the check-in area.

Harrah’s has three different check-in options:

• VIP check-in for Diamond and Seven members
• Self check-in kiosks for Non-Diamond and Seven members
• Online check-in with room key pickup at a dedicated check-in window

After getting checked in, you will want to locate your room, which could be in the original 14-story tower, the 23-story Valley Tower, or the 35-story Mountain Tower. Once you drop off your luggage, you should take some time to explore the resort and casino, as there are plenty of onsite attractions, entertainment, dining, and shows.

• Fitness center: The Spa at Harrah’s also has a state-of-the-art fitness center featuring the latest weight and carotid equipment. You can relax in the Eucalyptus Steam Room or sauna after your workout. Guests can purchase a facility pass from the spa to access the fitness center. 
• The Pool at Harrah’s: The pool offers an Olympic-size pool with three pool deck levels, nine cabanas, and endless fun. There are also daybeds guests can reserve. • Harrah’s Las Vegas Piano Bar: The Piano Bar is one of the most popular entertainment areas at Harrah’s. There is live music seven nights a week, dueling pianos, Rusty’s All-Star Karaoke, and performances by the duo Michael Brown and Kent Johnson. Guests can also catch the long-running Big Elvis Show at select showtimes. 
• Carnival Court: Carnival Court is just outside the south entrance, which is an outdoor bar with flair bartenders, blackjack, and frequent live music from Las Vegas lounge favorites and live DJs. The lively bar offers a casual, energetic nightlife experience.
