One of Vegas’s Best French Restaurants Opens a Next-Door Champagne Bar

Le Club. | Sabin Orr Partage opens a spin-off for small plates of escargot and flaming soufflé An evening at Partage calls for a tasting menu of poached egg with shaved black truffles, artful arrangements of bluefin tuna with broccoli puree, and oxtail croque monsieur, with savory oxtail layered between strips of buttered toast. With menus that offer up to nine courses, dinner here is an event that merits setting aside two to three hours for indulging in modern French food. Partage recently took over the space next door to its Chinatown restaurant and opened a new bar for French fare a la carte, plus a robust selection of Champagne. Executive chef Yuri Szarzewski, CEO and manager Nicolas Kalpokdjian, and executive pastry chef Ludovic Chazeaud opened Le Club on Wednesday, February 12. The lounge has seating at a bar that is stocked with a collection of Champagne nearly four times the size of Partage’s previous selection. Booth seating at the rear is framed by shelves displaying all forms of bottles, barrels, and other Champagne ephemera. “The idea is that, at Partage, we only do the tasting menu,” says Kalpokdjian. “We wanted to offer an a la carte option as well, and [Le Club] we will be focused on Champagne and cocktails.” Janna Karel Escargot at Le Club. Beyond the wine selection, which Kalpokdjian sourced primarily from Champagne, where his family is from, Le Club has a food menu with buttery and garlicky escargot with toasted baguette, oysters with citrusy mignonette, boards of creme fraiche and smoked salmon for spreading on blinis, and even caviar service. While Partage’s menu rotates monthly, the oxtail croque monsieur is a mainstay — one which customers refuse to part with, so it’ll also be available at Le Club. Chef Chazeaud expands on Partage’s desserts with Le Club, serving supple and smooth souffle with fiery plumes of Grand Marnier. And tiered bird cages are stocked with macarons, financier cakes, and bite-sized pavlovas — just right for the restaurant’s wine club members to sample the newest wares without committing to a three-hour coursed dinner. Le Club is open Tuesday through Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 3823 Spring Mountain Road. Sabin Orr Le Club. Sabin Orr Le Club. Janna Karel Oxtail croque monsieur.
