The Saddest Restaurant Closings to Know in Las Vegas, October 2025

Las Vegas’s dining scene constantly evolves and October saw some more changes with several restaurants calling it quits. Among them, two Palms Place venues operated by Luke Palladino and a popular Henderson barbeque. Below is a list of the city’s most noteworthy restaurant and bar closures from the past month, along with those that have publicly announced upcoming final service dates.

This is a curated list of Las Vegas’s most notable restaurant and bar closures. See a closing we missed? Then drop us a line.

Laguna Pool House & Kitchen

The purge at the Palms continues. Following the September closings of restaurants from two James Beard winners — Michael Symon (Mabel’s Bar & Q) and Marc Vetri (Vetri Cucina) — chef Luke Palladino has closed both Laguna Pool House and Kitchen and Rojo Lounge at Palms Place,  the resort’s adjacent condo-hotel. Laguna Pool House was a versatile restaurant, serving poolside breakfast, lunch, dinner, and also providing menus for easy in-room dining. Palladino’s menu was a global smorgasbord that featured everything from pizzas and burgers to sushi, Korean fried chicken, and gyros. The Palms has not announced what will take over the space.

Bell’s BBQ

After a decade serving pork ribs with Texas toast and 14-hour hickory smoked brisket to the Henderson community, John Bell is hanging up the apron to spend more time with his family. “This decision did not come easily as it marks the end of an amazing journey for our family,” he wrote in a Facebook post. “We are excited for new opportunities that will provide us with the time to spend with our children as they prepare for new adventures in their lives. We are deeply grateful for your amazing support and loyalty over the years. This community and our customers have not only been the heart of our business but also an extension of our family.” Bell’s was known for its barbeque-rubbed catfish, okra fries, and desserts served in mason jars, such as banana pudding and creme brûlée.

The Cupcakery

Citing high operating costs and shrinking profit margins, Pamela Jenkins, owner of the Cupcakery, has announced she will close her only remaining shop early next year. The Cupcakery, which debuted in January 2006 at the start of the cupcake craze and had four locations in the Las Vegas valley, will close its final shop (9690 S. Eastern Avenue) on February 1, 2026, after 20 years in business. Jenkins made the announcement of the closure on Facebook on October 10, telling customers: “It’s been a wild wonderful ride, the full heaven and hell experience that is small business,” she wrote. “Our lease isn’t being renewed and TBH the expenses to keep quality high has killed our profits in the last few years. I don’t think I’m alone in the struggle of small business right now. I could elaborate but it’s just exhausting. In the meantime, we will be taking orders right up until the day we close. Be sure to get your favorite flavors before they’re gone.”

American Beer and Cocktails

For the past decade, American Beer and Cocktails had been slinging beers to thirsty customers on the Linq Promenade but the bar’s final pour came September 28, 2025. Strictly a beer bar, American took pride in its long list of canned beers carrying brews that represented all 50 states. And while the Linq bar has closed, apparently it’s not the end of the road for American. The bar’s website hints at a move, saying they’re preparing “to welcome you to our brand-new location” with more details to be revealed soon. Vital Vegas reports that American will reopen at Treasure Island.
