Anthony Edwards is raising eyebrows with his recent paternity drama with influencer Ayesha Howard.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the Minnesota Timberwolves star, 23, filed a new motion on October 15 in his paternity lawsuit against Howard. The initial lawsuit was filed in September.
In the docs, Edwards, who has been dating girlfriend Shannon Jackson since 2020, asked for DNA testing to be done by a “neutral and licensed laboratory” to determine if he is the father of her child. Howard gave birth to her daughter the day before the new motion was filed.
Us has reached out to Edwards and Howard for comment.
Earlier this year, Edwards and Jackson welcomed their first child together, daughter Aislynn, in March. However, the NBA player is rumored to have two additional children with two other women.

Rumored Daughter With Daja
In September 2023, Edwards reportedly became a parent for the first time when beauty influencer Daja welcomed daughter Aris, per Page Six. According to Daja, her baby’s father was present for the birth but did not reveal his identity.
Neither Daja nor Edwards have addressed their connection.
Daughter Aislynn With Shannon Jackson
Edwards and his longtime girlfriend welcomed their first child in March. As Jackson prepared to give birth, Edwards was in the middle of a game against the Sacramento Kings. The athlete was pulled from the game and left at half-time to be with his girlfriend.
“Anthony Edwards is out with his baby on the way, per the Kings broadcast,” sports broadcaster Allen Stiles tweeted at the time.
Rumored Son With Ally D
In July 2024, a woman — who goes by Ally D — came forward accusing Edwards of being an absentee father to her son, Amir, who was born right before his and Jackson’s daughter.
“Dis was in November when I been knew he had a little girl before our son, literally a month before,” Ally wrote via her Instagram Story according to the Atlanta Black Star. “But see how I always kept it ‘P.’ Literally said congrats on the one on da way. So that’s 3 kids now.”
Edwards has not addressed Ally’s allegations.
Paternity Lawsuit With Ayesha Howard
One month before Howard — who is also mother to son Jason, 9, with rapper Lil Baby — gave birth to her daughter, Edwards filed a paternity suit. In the docs, Edwards requested genetic testing to be done. If the test confirms Edwards is the father, he requested an order establishing the baby’s paternity and child support.
Howard has not publicly disclosed the identity of the father of her new baby.
In January 2025, In Touch reported that Howard asked the court to dismiss Edwards’ lawsuit, which was filed in Georgia. The influencer argued that neither she nor Edwards have ties to the state. (Howard previously lived in Georgia before relocating to California and giving birth.)
According to documents obtained by the outlet, Howard stated that she has no plans to move back to Georgia and while noting that Edwards is currently based in Minnesota. She argued that the case should be heard in California rather than Georgia, since that is where she and her child reside.
Edwards, for his part, stated that Georgia was a better option since Howard’s business was registered in Georgia and remained current as of 2024. He also noted that Howard’s two previous court battles in 2018 and 2020 were both filed in Georgia.
