Here are a few of La Mona Rosa’s brunch highlights:

  • El Nopal Grilled Cactus Tacos: These flavorful tacos feature tender grilled nopal (cactus) strips wrapped in warm corn tortillas. Topped with zesty salsa verde, diced onions, and fresh cilantro, they offer a delightful blend of earthy and tangy flavors.
  • Pozole Rojo: A traditional Mexican soup, pozole rojo is a hearty dish made with hominy (dried corn kernels) simmered in a rich red chili broth. La Mona Rosa’s version includes succulent chunks of pork garnished with shredded lettuce, radishes, and lime wedges. Don’t forget to add a spoonful of salsa macha for an extra kick!
  • Margarita Suave: This refreshing cocktail combines the smoothness of tequila and mezcal with fluffy orange juice and a splash of lime. Served over ice, it’s the perfect accompaniment to your brunch feast.
  • Heirloom Corn Tortillas: These handmade tortillas are crafted from ancient varieties of corn, resulting in a distinct flavor and texture. They serve as the foundation for many dishes on the menu, including tacos and pozole.
  • Latin House Tracks: While not a traditional menu item, the energetic Latin house music playing in the background sets the mood for a lively brunch experience. It’s like a musical seasoning that enhances every bite.
Remember, La Mona Rosa’s Sunday brunch is a celebration of authentic central Mexican cuisine, where each dish tells a story of tradition, passion, and flavor. Bon appétit!
