The Jellyfish Jelly Burger at Smoke and Fire. | Smoke and Fire Get a Krabby Patty in Las Vegas It’s a big month for ’90s kids as the SpongeBob SquarePants “Krabby Patty Kollab,” a glossy activation that will see Spongebob-centric food items at local restaurants and national chains across the country, kicks off on Tuesday, October 8. Fast-food giant Wendy’s made headlines for selling a Krabby Patty burger and Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary. But the more exciting news is that through Sunday, October 27, more than a dozen Las Vegas restaurants will also participate in the Krabby Patty Kollab — serving specialty-themed dishes packed in branded boxes. Diners can expect “a variety of interpretations, including dumplings, falafel, burgers, doughnuts, ice cream and more — all inspired by the most sought-after secret recipe in Bikini Bottom,” according to a Nickelodeon press release. Smoke and Fire (3315 East Russell Road Suite A5) is making Jellyfish Jely Burgers inspired by an episode where Spongebob squeezes jellyfish jam onto patties. Honey Salt (1031 South Rampart Boulevard) is serving a Bikini Bottom Melt with a beef patty, yellow cheddar, and caramelized onions on marble rye alongside Tater Tots and secret formula sauce. And Pinkbox Doughnuts has a doughnut that looks convincingly like a burger — or Krabby Patty, that is. Other participating restaurants in Southern Nevada-located restaurants that are bringing it around town include Irv’s Burgers, Bar Code Burgers, Yukon Pizza, Nielsen’s Frozen Custard, Prince Street Pizza, Stay Tuned Burgers, Makers & Finders, Fat Sal’s, Randy’s Donuts, Duck Donuts, Mas Por Favor, Early Birds, Black Tap, and Boom Bang Fine Foods & Cocktails.
