MrBeast Super Fans Paid $1K for Las Vegas ‘Experience’ But Got a $9 T-Shirt Instead

In January, Resorts World announced a $1,000 “MrBeast Experience” that was touted to include exclusive merch, mini games, and exclusive menu items with some of the resort’s restaurants. But fans were left disappointed after spending the entire weekend holed up in their rooms, told to wait for a “special” package to be delivered. Even though one fan was supposed to win $10,000, most fans left with nothing but a couple of chocolate bars, kid-sized T-shirts, and regret. The $1,000 experience included a hotel stay from April 13 through 15 — the type of three-night stay that would come out to less than $400 most weeks. The event page has since been taken off the Resorts World website, though it had initially announced that the experience would include a MrBeast “mystery bag” with select MrBeast-branded merchandise, “a variety of on-site activations designed to offer an immersive and unforgettable experience for our guests,” and a $10,000 gift voucher awarded to “one lucky guest.” A press release also teased “exclusive menu items” at the resort’s restaurants. A broadcast from Las Vegas’s 8 News Now showed a crowd of disappointed fans gathered in front of the Dawg House sports bar near the casino’s entrance. Fans explained that they expected events and programming, plus a meet-and-greet with MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) himself — but after waiting two days in their rooms, all they got was chocolate and t-shirts that retail for $9 on MrBeast’s website. Resorts World provided the disgruntled guests with $50 in food and drink credits. Resorts World did not respond to a request for comment. MrBeast commented on X: “This definitely isn’t the experience we hoped they’d deliver. My team’s already on it — I’d love to personally make it up to you and anyone else by inviting everybody affected to tour my actual studio! Can’t wait to meet you all and my team is reaching out to everyone.” This is hardly the first time MrBeast has over-promised and under-delivered in Las Vegas. Last year, Donaldson’s companies cast 2,000 people for a Squid Games-style game show that was filmed at Allegiant Stadium and now streams on Amazon Prime. Five contestants in the Beast Games competition show have since filed a lawsuit against MrBeast and Amazon, alleging they were subjected to “chronic mistreatment,” sexual harassment, and more. According to the lawsuit, Beast Games participants were deprived of medical care, food, sleep, and “the necessities of basic hygiene.” MrBeast gained the most popular YouTube channel in the world with over 385 million subscribers due to his niche genre of “stunt philanthropy.” Videos often feature competitions where players are challenged to remain in one room or area until only one person remains. Usually, the last one standing wins a seven-figure prize. In Las Vegas, two days stuck in a room can get you a T-shirt. A promotional e-mail for the MrBeast Experience.
