A Popular Hawaiian Food Hall With Asian Street Food Is Coming to Southwest Las Vegas
Rendering of Stix Asia. | Stix Asia Plus, Cafe Lola’s owners open a new restaurant and Station Casinos goes all-in on gaming bars After shuttering its food hall after one year of operation last summer, UnCommons is readying to reopen the former Sundry space — this time with a new food hall concept. Stix Asia, the popular Hawaiian food hall in Waikiki, will move into the food hall space in 2026. Stix Asia at UnCommons will take over the 18,000-square-foot dining space with 12 new vendors serving Asian street food. Stix Asia joins other restaurants that are on deck for UnCommons, including Blue Bottle Coffee and Rare Society. The food hall opening follows the opening of Hawaiian restaurant Zippy’s, further bolstering Las Vegas’s status as the Ninth Island. The Women Behind Cafe Lola Open a New Restaurant The team behind the floral-decked Cafe Lola and the fancy doughnut shop Saint Honore have opened a new sit-down Italian restaurant. Alexandra Lourdes and Lin Jerome opened Sorrelina at 9742 West Maule Avenue near Fort Apache Road on Friday, January 31. The menu features Italian classics like eggplant and chicken Parmesan, braised meatballs, and rigatoni in pork ragu. As one would hope from the duo known for their sweet treats, the restaurant has a dessert menu with tiramisu and olive oil lemon cake. Sorrelina is accepting reservations and will host its grand opening on Tuesday, February 11. Station Casinos Opens Its Second Bar Station Casinos has branched out beyond casinos like Red Rock Resort and the Durango Casino, with its first standalone bar opened last summer and is continuing to go all in on gaming bars that cater to locals. It opened its second bar, Seventy Six Tavern, on Aliante Parkway, across the street from Boyd Gaming’s Aliante casino property on Thursday, January 23. The bar has several big-screen televisions for sports fans, bartop machines with over 55 gaming options, plus beer, wine, and cocktails, and dishes like Texas macaroni and cheese bowls, Mississippi pot roast, and California Monterey chicken. It’s open 24 hours a day.
