Comedian Jason Stuart sold out all of California at The Merc Theatre, The Rustic Theatre, and The Desert Rose Playhouse twice! After years of steady work in film and television and approaching 160 credits on his IMDB page, Actor Jason Stuart has achieved a pinnacle of success many actors only dream of. “For the last few years, people have started to approach me and say, ‘You’re that guy,'” he explains with his characteristic gravelly laugh. Indeed, with guest-starring and supporting credits in everything from Billy Bob Thornton’s “Goliath” to Judd Apatow’s “Love” to “Sleepy Hollow” to “Tangerine” and “The Birth of a Nation,” Stuart has now established himself as one of those all-too-familiar faces who might pop up anywhere, in any role. After coming out on “Geraldo” TV show led to a wave of interest in Stuart as an “Out gay comedian,” giving his act new material, energy, and a purpose. Today, Stuart marvels at how much has changed about the visibility of sexually diverse actors and celebrities.

Jason recently won Indie Series Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series of the Amazon comedy SMOTHERED. He co-stars & co-created with Mitch Hara, said in his speech, “I have had a long winding career with lots of ups and downs. When I was a kid growing up, I never thought that a gay man could win an award from his peers for playing a gay man! All I ever really wanted was to be a character actor”. He also thanked his mother for her love & support with the hashtag #I Don’t Live With My Mother, I Live Next Store!

He also played the title role in the short “Hank” by director Hongyu Li and co-starring Jay Disney, about a gay couple who consider an open relationship, which continues to earn praise at numerous festivals recently at the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival!
