Dr. Dana Bennett Announced as Interim Lead of Nevada Mining Association

The Nevada Mining Association announced the appointment of Dana Bennett, Ph.D., to the position Interim President. She has previously served as the NVMA’s first female President from 2014 to 2020 and implemented the first strategic plan of the association.
During Bennett’s first term at the NVMA, she served on the Nevada Board of Economic Development under both Governor Brian Sandoval and Governor Steve Sisolak.
Dr. Bennett has over 30 years of experience in public policy in Nevada and a PhD in history. She is also the Vice President of the national Mining History Association. Most recently, she led the nonpartisan Kenny Guinn Center for Policy Priorities as the Interim Executive Director.
