Get Upside Down Waffles and ‘Bridgerton’ Tea at the New Netflix Restaurant
Eleven’s Feast at Netflix Bites. | Netflix Plus, an Asian Night Market lights up the weekend and Area15 further expands From the small screen to the casino floor, Netflix has set up shop with a new one-year pop-up experience at the MGM Grand on the Las Vegas Strip. The restaurant teems with bold design — jewel-toned walls and furnishings, large-scale artwork of characters from The Queen’s Gambit and Bird Box, and roving crews of Pink Guards from Squid Game. The Squid Game-inspired Red Bite Green Bite ($26) comes with a wheel that diners spin to determine whether they dip fried bites of chicken in a creamy green or a fiery red sauce. The Eleven’s Feast ($65) cleverly serves a platter of chicken and waffle sandwiches perched above an “Upside Down” version with inky dyed red-and-black versions of the same sandwiches. A Bridgerton tea ($65) comes with patterned dishware and three tiers of pastries. A Mind Flayer cocktail is filled with glowing cubes and topped with an ominous tuft of cotton candy, while a Love Is Blind-themed cocktail requires that customers blindly select a flavor profile — the cocktail that follows is served in one of those opaque gold vessels for one to keep. Other dishes are legitimately good even without the gimmick, like a Korean Short Rib Galbi ($52), marinated for 24 hours in a sticky sweet blend of soy and gochujang and the Peruvian Pollo A La Brasa ($38) inspired by Chef’s Table — two tender thighs of fire-roasted marinaded chicken with a creamy, spicy verde sauce. It’s open from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Walk-ins are available now, with reservations opening on Thursday, February 20 at NetflixBites.com. Stephanie Gonot Peruvian Pollo A La Brasa.
