Las Vegas Mayor’s Urban Design Award Winners Announced

The city of Las Vegas is honoring exceptional urban design through the Mayor’s Urban Design Awards (MUDA). Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman presented the awards to open the 2024 Mayor’s Symposium on Urban Design Tuesday, March 5, at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 S. Fourth St.

The awards recognize projects that foster the city’s commitment to sustainability and livability.

This year’s categories and winners include:

  • Buildings and Environment – The Beverly Theater, 515 S. Sixth St., designed by Carpenter Seller Del Gatto Architects;
  • Historic Preservation & Adaptive Reuse - The Carousel Bar, 1 S. Main St., designed by The Plaza Hotel Design Team;
  • Historic Preservation – The Golden Steer restaurant, 308 W. Sahara Ave., designed by Carpenter Seller Del Gatto Architects;
  • Adaptive Reuse - The Bent Inn & Pub, 1100 E. Ogden Ave, designed by SPARC Design;
  • Public Art – “We, Westside,” a mural at 500 Jefferson Ave., created by Iandry Randriamandroso; and
  • Public Places – Obodo Urban Farm, 1300 C St., designed by The Obodo Collective.
