[UPDATE] The Las Vegas Strip’s Best Value Restaurant Has Reopened
Ocean One Bar & Grille. | Ocean One Bar & Grille The home of the $4 cocktail shut its doors on Friday Ocean One Bar and Grille is by no means the best restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip, but it’s probably the cheapest. The value restaurant inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood routinely has a wait list due to its all-day cheap offerings and wallet-friendly drink specials. On Friday, September 20, the budget hot spot abruptly closed — but it resumed operations on Saturday, September 21. At the time of publication, Ocean One had been removed from the Miracle Mile website. A mall employee who was not authorized to speak publicly confirmed that its last day of operation was Thursday, September 19 and it would remain closed until further notice. A representative from the Miracle Mile Shops stated that Ocean One is again open as of Saturday. And the restaurant posted on its Facebook page that it would again be operational starting at 7 p.m. — a welcome relief to repeat customers. Every lunch item at Ocean One is $5.99. That includes starters of crispy calamari and tuna tartare, sandwiches like chicken clubs and Mediterranean wraps, chicken fajitas served with rice and beans, grilled salmon with mashed potatoes, and skirt steak with cabernet sauce. Equally popular is the drink special: three cocktails for $12. On a boulevard where one can easily spend upwards of $18 for a cocktail, the $4 cocktail special is unheard of. And the special includes drinks like margaritas, gimlets, and tequila sunrises with name-brand liquor like Ketel One, Jack Daniels, and Bacardi. Dinner options run from $6.99 for a burger up to around $28 for surf and turf. But that drink special is available all day, every day — from 7:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. or midnight. There’s more to come for the Miracle Mile Shops. In July, the property announced that it’s getting in on the food hall action with plans to open Miracle Eats this winter. The food hall will have locations of Fat Sal’s, Tacotarian, Carnegie Pizza, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Lobster Me, and Fat Tuesday. Update: September 21, 2:52 p.m.: This post has been updated to reflect that representatives for Ocean One Bar and Grille announced that the restaurant reopened on Saturday, September 21.
